This wishlist is more than a collection of classroom supplies. It’s the foundation for a creative space where middle and high school students can learn by doing, collaborate, and discover talents they may not even know they have yet.
This year I’m teaching multiple brand-new elective courses, including Drama, Debate, Journalism, Computer Applications, Culinary Arts, and Life Skills. Every item on this list has a purpose. Technology helps students build digital skills they’ll use for years to come. Journalism supplies allow students to become photographers, writers, and storytellers. Drama materials help reluctant students find confidence and their voices. Culinary tools provide hands-on experiences that teach independence and real-world life skills. Flexible seating, organization, and classroom resources create an environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and creating something they’re proud of.
My goal is to build a classroom that feels different from a traditional classroom. I want it to be a place where students walk in excited, where creativity is celebrated, and where every student has the opportunity to succeed, whether they’re designing a publication, performing on stage, building a presentation, preparing a recipe, or participating in a debate.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps create meaningful experiences for my students. You’re not just purchasing supplies. You’re helping build opportunities, confidence, creativity, and memories that will last long after the school year ends.
