Even in my 30th year in the classroom, my teaching goal remains simple: grow GOOD musicians who are EVEN BETTER people. I teach kdg-12th grade students about and through music, movement, and children’s books, with a sharp focus on empathy, diversity, and equity, and with a combination of both accountability and grace.
How I Will Use Donations
Donations could cover small percussion instruments, new children’s books featuring musicians of color, items for elementary music class centers, or hygiene items for my student care closet, including period products, hair brushes, and deodorants.
